JERRY WILLIAMS
Community Liaison for the Office of Recovery Management ![]() Jerry Williams is a native New Orleanian and a graduate of Dillard University with a Degree in Accounting, returned to New Orleans after spending a number in years in both Detroit, Michigan and Los Angeles, California. His involvement in both cities includes a wide range of experiences working with small businesses, non-profit and community based organizations. Jerry’s return to the crescent city is focused on participating in recovery and rebuilding efforts post Katrina. Jerry moved back to New Orleans in January 2006 to complete a one year assignment with the Small Business Administration on an initiative to assure the involvement of small businesses throughout the Gulf Coast Region to participate in major contracts with the Federal Government in the aftermath of both Katrina and Rita. His current assignment with the Office of Recovery Management, City of New Orleans continues his efforts in recovery/rebuilding of the city. As Community Liaison for the Office of Recovery Management, Jerry is involved in a broad range of activities relating to the repopulation of the city and concerns of its citizens as the city continues its recovery.
