PAT RODNEY
Community Program Specialist ![]() Pat Rodney, is a native New Orleanian and a 1975 graduate of Loyola University in Business Management. Since Katrina, Ms. Rodney has had experience with FEMA and the Small Business Administration. In February 2007, she was appointed as a Community Program Specialist at the Mayor’s Office of Recovery Management. Her responsibilities include the selection of viable and eligible community development and economic programs to create sustainable, mix-use neighborhoods. These projects, in targeted areas, are selected with the help of the community’s input will be funded with CDBG, LRA and other sources. Additionally, she has responsibility for The Welcome Home Center, created by Mayor Nagin to be a centralized point of contact for residents displaced by Hurricanes Katrina or Rita that are returning to New Orleans, including management of a staff of four (4) in their interaction with different agencies housed at the Welcome Home Center.
