DERRICK WILLIAMS 
Community Design Specialist  Derrick Williams received a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from Prairie View A&M University’s School of Architecture, followed by a Master’s Degree in Community Development with a specialization in Urban Planning. His early career includes assisting with master plans, designing a Civic Center for a nearby town, and various other projects as owner of Williams Drafting & Design. In February 2007, Mr. Williams began at the City of New Orleans Office of Recovery Management as the Community Design Specialist of the Population Resettlement division. In this position he provides architectural designs and renderings to projects; creates graphics, and serves as a liaison between the ORM and various levels of the architecture community.
